Flexi Hose Check
Can you believe Easter is upon us! We know many of you are packing for your long weekend getaways! But before you pack up the car and do your final check of the house, CHECK YOUR FLEXI HOSES!
What to look for?
Stretching, twisting or rusting of the flexi hose is the biggest indication you need the hose to be replaced.
Flexi hoses can be found in bathrooms, kitchens and laundries! This is one of the easiest things to maintain in your home, a quick check every now and then saves incredible damage to your home!
According to Suncorp Insurance – “In 2022, Suncorp Insurance homes claims data revealed that flexi-hoses were responsible for almost one in ten water damage claims in Australian households, and when it came to cost, claims involving flexi-hoses were more
than double the cost of damage from a regular burst pipe
Water Meter Check
Another Easter checklist item before your get going! If you suspect you have a water leak in your home, there is a really easy way to check whilst you are away.
Step One – Turn off the water at the mains!
Step Two – Take a quick photo of your water meter (make sure the numbers are clear)
Step Three – Enjoy your Easter Getaway
Step Four – Return home and compare the numbers on your water meter! If they are the same – You’re in the Clear, if it has increased, you may have a water leak!
Easter Trading Hours
Easter is a time to get away, full of public holidays, Hot Cross Buns and lots and lots of Chocolate….Hopefully not any Plumbing issues.
